About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to enquiries you send to South Line Asia (“we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to these terms. Equipment hire, leasing and supply are governed by the written agreement or quotation issued for each transaction. Where that document and these terms differ, the written agreement applies.

Using this website

You may use this website to learn about our services and to prepare enquiries. You must not use it in a way that is unlawful, that damages or disrupts the website, or that attempts to gain unauthorised access to any system or data.

We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change or remove content at any time.

Enquiries and quotations

An enquiry is a request for information. It is not an order, and we are not bound to accept it. A quotation we issue is valid for the period stated on it. Prices, availability and delivery times are confirmed in writing before a contract is formed.

A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing or when a hire, lease or supply agreement is signed.

Equipment hire and leasing

Each hire or lease is subject to the agreement issued for it. In general:

• equipment remains our property throughout the hire or lease period;
• you are responsible for the equipment from delivery until collection, including safe use, site conditions and compliance with applicable regulations;
• equipment must be operated only by competent, suitably licensed personnel;
• loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear, and any downtime it causes, is charged to you;
• hire periods, deposits, fuel, transport and operator arrangements are set out in the quotation.

Wholesale and product supply

Products are supplied as described in the quotation or order confirmation. Brands, models, specifications, quantities and delivery arrangements are confirmed for each order. Manufacturer warranties apply where available and are passed on to you on the manufacturer’s terms. Import, export and customs requirements are agreed in writing before shipment.

Payment

Payment terms, currency and accepted methods are stated on each quotation or invoice. We may require a deposit before delivery or hire begins. Late payment may result in suspension of services and interest or recovery costs as allowed by law.

Website content and intellectual property

The South Line Asia name, logo and website content are owned by us or used under licence. You may view and print pages for your own use. You must not copy, reproduce or redistribute content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Images on this website are illustrative. They show the types of equipment and products we deal in and do not represent specific items in stock.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. Liability relating to equipment hire, leasing or supply is set out in the agreement for that transaction. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of the Maldives.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Disputes that cannot be resolved by discussion are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Maldives.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the revised terms.
